Meatball Sundae – Seth Godin (10/10)

As per usual Mr Godin talks about another aspect of marketing which many beginner marketing people like myself in start-ups forget. Mr Godin explains the new business age marketing and the old business marketing. He makes great points about how fusion of the two can often be a disaster, but not only that he also shows how the two in some cases can work really well. I have found his examples very interesting, specially the examples given in the final chapter. My notes as they indicate are “my notes” so please don’t rely on just my notes to asses this book. This book is worth reading and offers hope to businesses that have been using old marketing techniques and now are failing using the new ones. In most cases you will not find Mr Godin giving you exact steps but just enough content, which will make you ponder over marketing requirements of your business. I have certainly found many examples and points in the book useful for my business. I hope you will find it useful for your business too.
